Your Foundation Certificate in Accountancy

AAT Level 2 Intermediate course in Accounting is a good starting point for those looking to progress into a more specialized role in accounting. If you’re looking for a certificate to gain further qualifications for advanced accounting positions, then suggest enrolling onto this. This course usually includes reading material, practice books, and eLearning resources. The intermediate course will help students learn about accounting procedures and basic skills such as document preparation and organization, cash management, financial statements etc. Some of the topics that will be covered in this course include the following: balance sheet procedures, business finance, income statement, and company overview visit.

The purpose of this training is to prepare students for professional certification examinations such as the Chartered Institute of Chartered Accountants (CIC) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). It helps students understand and apply accounting principles to their own professional lives. It may seem a little bit extreme to go through a whole year of this training, but it is a necessity for many professional accountants and graduates. With a certificate sitting on your wall, it’s not something to miss out on!

There are a number of different ways for students to earn a certificate at the AAT level 2. The traditional way is to study with a company for a year and successfully achieve a diploma or the associate’s degree. However, some accountancy schools now offer online classes, which cut down on traveling and make it easier for you to work while you continue your education. By studying from home and continuing your education at your own pace, you can still graduate to become a highly qualified accountant.

The other way is to get hold of an accountancy course certificate and study for it at home. Some accountancy courses provide a set of modules that you have to successfully pass before gaining your certificate, others you will be able to complete on your own. Either way, you will gain a valuable qualification in addition to a practical experience of learning how to work within an accounting system. Many accountants who start off at level two go on to achieve CIC status, which shows that they have progressed far beyond the beginner’s level.

At AAT level 2, there will be more exams to take and you will need to have a good grasp of at least one area of accounting before moving onto the next part. After all, it would be a big mistake to try and be a jack of all trades when it comes to accounting and bookkeeping. You should strive to learn as much as you can, but do not be afraid to apply yourself in areas where you may struggle a little. For example, you may not have heard about the recent changes to the tax system, but that does not mean you cannot learn the basics. If you want to learn about company ledgers, then a course in bookkeeping is a good place to start. By concentrating on something you feel more confident in, you can become a more successful accountant and this will reflect in your performance and this could even lead to a move onto level three of the AAT.

There are many different ways to study for your AAT level 2 foundation certificate. You could enrol for an online course or you could decide to go to a traditional classroom. The first choice is really up to you and what your priorities are. Of course, if you need to do all of your work at home and you cannot find a local classroom that will accommodate you, then you may have to opt for an online based program. Either way, ensure that you get all of your accounting education from the same place, as you will soon start to develop a routine of studying and this should ensure that you are able to retain all of the information you have learnt and begin to make steady progress.
